. crystals make beautiful jewelry . so do I . gold wrapped . no finer wearables in synch with spirit .
Here I go with that unabashed promotion thing again. This time, it's handcrafted gold wire and gold-filled wire wrap jewelry. And not just ANY old stone wrapped in gold, either. Indeed not. Remember I said you should love what you do? You should also love what you do it with. I wrap natural crystals. These are actual crystals grown in nature through the many years process that it takes as opposed to man made crystals being either leaded glass or crystals made in a processor in 45 days. I also work with some silicates that are not crystalline in form, but are nonetheless beautifully grown or formed and even some igneous minerals if they catch my eye.

Working with these stones is very positive for many reasons, not just the creation of a beautiful piece of jewelry, but because of the amazing way these minerals use light (as you will see in some of these pictures I've taken, untouched by my magic Photoshop hands), and how that seems to 'rub off' on me.

I tend to the more exotic design rather than that which is taught in the 'wrap' books or jewelry making classes. I am inspired by how the stone reacts to the wire (and there IS a symbiotic relationship!) and how I react to the stone's reaction. It's an end result of the art working the artist. Many of the stones I work with are 'reviewed' in a recent book, a handbook for the crystals lover, A Tough Love Guide To Working With Crystals. It will be for sale in another two or three months. Check back here for the release, if you're interested, or check with me.

In the meantime, if anything you see below inspires you to want it, click on the picture for a larger version and to see the price and if it's still for sale. If it's not for sale and you'd like something similar, contact me and let's talk about it.
Below you will find thumbnails of some of the pieces that are currently for sale and some that have been sold. Just click on the link below each grouping to see a larger view and a description of the stone used.

Tektites

Moldavite
There are several
other tektites
but I don't get
much of a
chance to work
with them. Some
are quite rare. Not
to say that Moldavite is not
rare, it is, but
it is still
relatively
affordable.

As noted, I also work with a variety of igneous materials in cabochans and I have gold wrapped Ivory, Peacock Ore
Blue Lace Agate
and so many
others, I don't
recall at the moment. However, it is the crystal form that most
intrigues me and
insists that I
wrap it in some
meaningful form.
